The Minecrafty Family is made up of Minecraft experts Andrew and Nathan, and their dad Ron. They have spent thousands of enjoyable hours together playing and experimenting in Minecraft.
When Ron isn’t accidently discovering new ways to get himself blown up in Minecraft, he enjoys exploring different worlds and experimenting with different survival strategies. He likes to say he teaches “What NOT To Do in Minecraft.” When not in the Minecraft world, Ron is a veteran teacher of more than 20 years. He is also a stellar speaker, an award-winning writer, and a published poet. He ensures that every book is well-organized, and written clearly and concisely.
Andrew loves to use Redstone to create incredible devices, structures, and contraptions, as well as, creative houses and buildings. His inventive Minecraft creations may be the result of his passion for building with LEGO bricks for the past 12 years. Andrew is a junior high school student actively involved in everything technology, robotics, and math related. He enjoys step-by-step product creation, public speaking, and website design. In fact, Andrew (at age 13) created all of the Minecrafty Family websites: http://minecraftyfamily.com; http://minecraftybuildersclub.com; http://wimpysteve.com.
Nathan loves to push the limits in Minecraft and experiment with things that Notch never intended. (For example, what is the view like from INSIDE a giant slime? And doesn’t everyone need squid in their swimming pool?) If you’re looking for something cool, funny, or random to do in Minecraft, then Nathan’s your guy! Nathan is a middle school student who enjoys photography, videography, public speaking, and coding to create awesome PC games. In fact, he initiated the creation of a Computer Coding Club at his school when he was in 5th grade.
